Adult medium. 250 yds sportweight yarn, 6½ stitches/inch, size US 2 / 3.0 mm needles suggested. Charted instructions.
Shown above in 2-ply handspun yarn blend of silk, wool, mohair and alpaca. I purchased the fiber from Lambspun and it was called "Fireworks". This is the same fiber I used as a singles yarn for the All-Over Lace Faroese Shawl. The fiber has subtle variations in color, therefore the 2-ply yarn looks like a different yarn than the singles, not only in thickness, but slightly different in overall color.
Tip: If you aren't a handspinner, a good yarn choice to get a similar look is to use 2 or 3 strands held together of Helen's Lace silk/wool by Lorna's Laces in color #44 Grays Corner.

Another example of these socks, this time knitted in handspun silk/wool yarn. Don't you love the subtle variations and soothing gray and pink colors in these socks?
