Adult large. Planned leg height (top of heel to top edge of cuff) is approximately 7" including 3" of ribbing. 400 yards fingering weight sock yarn. 8 sts/inch, size 1 US /2.25 mm needles suggested. Shown in Tilli Tomas Sock 90% Merino wool 10% nylon, color Dusk 100. Pattern includes both charted and written stitch instructions.
As a male knitter it is often times difficult to find a pattern that has style, and interest to last not only through the knitting process, but stands up to the test of wear. So I've been looking for a good 'dress sock' pattern for a while. THIS IS IT! The Johnny Sock is not only good looking, textured in design, but fun to knit up. And the price is very reasonable ... I plan on making many of these - to go with all my suits - and not only for myself. |
