Morning Surf
A scarf inspired by by morning walks on the beach
Morning Surf captures the feeling of gentle waves under a morning haze. The scarf is a simple lace-type structure that knits up quickly because of the dropped yarn-overs.
The scarf shown here is the one I originally made as a tribute to the '95 Destin Spin-In using a fingering-weight handspun in gray-green vari-toned. I composed a stitch and row sequence to capture the feeling of the gentle waves under a morning haze as I took my walks on the beach. Of course, you don't have to use any particular color, or even a particular weight.
