A Beaded Bias Towards Lace Scarf
HeartStrings knitting pattern #A60
The simplest of lace patterns knits naturally on the bias to make a scarf with chic diagonal ends. The bias design is a striking use of hand-painted yarn. Optionally trim your scarf with a simple crochet beaded edge.
Allow 325 yards of fingering weight or finer yarn for 6½" x 68" scarf, or desired width and length with yardage adjustment. 6 ½ stitches/inch, size US 5 / 3.75 mm needles suggested. 15 g size 8/0 seed beads for optional beaded trim. Shown in hand-painted Novelty Rayon from Heritage Yarns in colorway Magic Carpet Ride with emerald seed beads. Written stitch instructions.
