Soft Cables Moebius Scarf

HeartStrings knitting pattern #A78

A reversible eyelet cable-look stitch pattern makes a soft contour about your head and neck. This moebius scarf is a continuous one-sided surface that is formed from a rectangular piece of knitting. It is simply a loop with a half twist that will rest comfortably folded about your head or neck.

Any yarn can be used, and made to any size. For example, you might choose a shorter length as a head wrap where the lower part fits more closely under the chin. Or a longer length that allows tucking under a coat. Any size makes a good looking scarf just hanging about the neck. And best of all, they knit up quickly and make great gifts.

As a rule of thumb, plan for 3 - 50g balls in sport to bulky weights, 2 - 50g balls in finer weights. More specific yardage and gauge guidelines for popular yarn weights and scarf sizes are included in the pattern instructions as well as below for your advance planning. Shown in Tahki Sable 70% merino/30% angora yarn. Written stitch instructions.

Lisa Keating writes ...

I recently purchased the Soft Cables Möbius pattern. I just wanted to tell you how much I am anjoying this project. The pattern is one of the best values for my money I have seen in a long time. I love that I can use different weights of yarn. It is very well written, clear and concise. I am using Noro Cash Iroha. It is a beautiful project. THANKS!
