HeartStrings Pattern Corrections & Clarifications

I strive to make your patterns accurate and complete. But sometimes mistakes do happen, and I humbly ask that you accept my apologies when they do. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Upon discovery, errors are corrected in subsequent print runs. Therefore, a correction listed in the following will have already been incorporated in your pattern if the print series number after the dash in the Publication Number is a larger number than what is listed on your pattern.

Pattern title Correction or clarification Publication number(s) affected
Anklet Coronets Total beads should be 472 with 236 per sock, not 480/240. S03-001 to 5327
Beaded Diamond Mosaic Under the Beaded Diamond Mosaic Hat yarn requirements (second column of first page), should just say "DK weight yarn " i.e. cross out the "for fingerless mitttens" part. The yardage requirements are correctly given. A13-6024
Page 2, rnds 4 and 16: the k1's should say p1 instead. A13-6024 to 6030
Pages 2 and 3, left columns under Notes: Remove the statement "Beads are placed on WS rows and will show on the RS". This is a carry-over from another pattern and not applicable to this pattern. A13-6024 to 6056
Beaded Faux Cable Anklets Beaded Faux Cable Stitch Pattern section on pg 2: Pattern repeat is an 8[9] st multiple of 11 rnds. Rnd 4 should say: p1, k1, cross sl sts, k1, p1[2]; rep from * to end of rnd. S12-001 to 5003
Beaded Lace Wristlets Beaded edge row on pages 4 and 5 has a misplaced asterisk; the corected row should read as: p1, * sl bead-p1; rep from * to end of row. thru A99-5365
Cat's Cradle Page 3 right column - There should be another 6 rows of Eyelet Stripe before the final Knit 4 rows. some A21-5331 to 6032
Concertina Lace Socks pg 2, For 28-st multiple Rnds 5,7,9,11,13: k1, p2, k10, p2, k10, p2, k1. to S17-5306
pg 2, For 30-st multiple Rnds 6,8,10,12,14,16: k1, p2, k11, p2, k11, p2, k1.

Daylight and Shadows Gusset and Foot section (page 3 top of 2nd column) -- Work across instep sts in established pattern as follows: (p1, k5, p2) 3 times, p1, k5, p1." some S28-7024
Ethereal Fichu Chart page should say "Purl all WS (even-numbered) rows." A24-001 to 5201
Filigree Lace Ensembles Gauge for hat should say 7 sts rather than 9¼. A135-5355
Lead or Follow Lace Scarf Pgs 2 & 3: 18R and 18L actually describe 17 st borders, not 18 sts. Pg 3 Special Abbreviations: 18R WS row should read "k4, p1, [k5, p1] 2 times". 18L WS row should read "[p1, k5] 2 times, p1, k4".
Pg 3: the k4's in Row 22 should be p4's. (the chart is correct)
A52-6336

Palette of Colors (pg 2) Row 5 should read: k2, sl 2 wyif, * p2, p1 and k1 into the yo of previous row, p2, sl 2 wyif; rep from * until 2 sts remain, k2. (stitch count restored to multiple of 8 sts plus 6)

(pg 4) Foundation row should read: k2, * sl 2 wyib, k2, k3tog, k3togtbl, k2; rep from * until 4 sts remain, sl 2 wyib, k2. (stitch count reduced to 198[206,214,222,230] which is a multiple of 8 sts plus 6)

NOTE: Errata to the errata - In the original correction insert slip included with the patterns that were sent out for the H48-7022 first printing, the page references were switched around. So "pg 2" should have said "pg 4" (since there is no foundation row on pg 2), and "pg 4" should have said "pg 2". The above errata is stated correctly, as well as the printable errata sheet has been corrected for this.

Printable 10-up errata sheet (corrected)
H48-7022

Side-to-Side Dickey Front and Back across Left Shoulder section - Row 10 should be 6 sts from end, not 8. A10-001 to 5058 (some)
