Miniature Sweater Ornament
A thank you gift pattern from Jackie E-S with your HeartStrings Knitterly e-News subscription
|
Miniature Sweater Ornament is a free online pattern valued at $5.00. If you like this pattern, please support the continued development of new HeartStrings knitting designs by purchasing any of the popular for-sale patterns. Visit the online Design Gallery for the entire collections.
This little sweater is knit from the top-down and is almost seamless. A collection of small lengths of different yarns is an excellent choice for easy one-of-a-kind results — a great way to use those workshop or goodie bag samples. If using different yarns, you can plan ahead on color or texture placement based on the order the parts of the sweater are knit (i.e. neckband and yoke, each sleeve, then body). Some choices are light to dark, dark to light, mixture of smooth and textured, or whatever. Or just use the yarns in a serendipitous fashion, letting the colors and textures fall where they may!
The Miniature Sweater Ornament pattern can also be used in conjunction with the Technique Teddy Bear class Jackie E-S teaches at Needlecraft University.
