Beyond BOBBOL 2014 monthly project series

Peggy L. asked: "Do you have an approximate count of beads required for the separate parts of the purse? Since I'm stringing them by hand, it would be nice to know!"

How Small Can You Go?

Hi {!name_fix} - We're stretching the limits on tiny for this month's Precious Treasures KAL where we transform fine lace knitting beadwork into beautiful, sparkly jewelry.

Carry your tiniest, precious treasures in this miniature purse. The pattern for Lorna's Light Necklace Purse is available now at discount for May KAL participants. Click here for the KAL page with pattern info, etc. By the way, if you don't want to knit the purse, there also are instructions for 2 versions of lovely bookmarks in this same pattern.

How small you can go with tiny needles, tiny thread and tiny beads? I've got help for you in the support article The Challenge of Tiny.

Many patterns omit exact number of beads needed for a project. Especially if you are stringing by hand, it is nice to know. Tthis KAL gives me the opportunity to share some pointers in how to count the number of beads needed. Counting Beads Needed for a Project

A reminder to get your order in before May 15, 2014. My summer/fall away-from-the-studio schedule means I will be traveling more and will not be shipping orders for physical items from the KnitHeartStrings Online Store again until the late Fall. Thanks for your understanding.
