Small Beads
Reduce abrasion when stringing smaller beads relative to the yarn size.
Judith Gilbert of California offered this tip for reducing abrasion when using small beadsrelative to the yarn size they are being strung on.
A hint about the Beaded Lace Scarf –
I tried something machine knitters do. Ran the yarn over a block of paraffin (the kind used for canning) to cut down on the abrasion from the beads (am using Jaggerspun Zephyr) and to help the beads slide on a bit more smoothly. Am using beads one size smaller than you recommend, so it's a bit of a tight fit. The paraffin will wash out very easily in warm water and a bit of soap.
Thanks Judith for your tip!
