Pianissimo Lace Blouse

HeartStrings knitting pattern #W32

Softly with a whisper of lace, like fine classic music, this sweater is a masterpiece in concomitant simplicity and elegance.

Alternating diagonals of eyelets suggest a soothing repetitive melody punctuated with the dainty staccato of herringbone faggot lace columns. The theme of pianissimo is echoed in the softly gathered bodice that adjoins the lacy saddle shoulder continuations of the full-length sleeves.

Fingering weight yarn and suggested needle size US 1 - 3 (2.25 mm - 3.25 mm) for finished chest measurements 34" to 39". Sport weight yarn suggested needle size US 4 - 6 (3.5 mm - 4.5 mm) for finished chest measurements 42" to 50". Sweater is planned for 0 - 2" of negative ease.
