Sweet Melody Vest

Like notes playing across the staffs of music, the subtle lace eyelets of Sweet Melody Vest drift in and out of a flattering cascade of textured wavy columns. The slightly fluted lower edge is a nice touch, too. This vest is knitted as one piece so that sewn finishing is almost eliminated. You can leave the front opening buttonless or embellish with button loops and buttons as shown in the model for a center-front closure.

Instructions are available in 4 sizes: 38¾(45,51,57)" finished chest measurements. 700(850,1000,1150) yards DK weight yarn. Size US 6 / 4mm knitting needles suggested for gauge of 21 stitches per 4 inches over main stitch pattern. Buttons and button loops are optional. Sample model was knitted in Lorna's Laces Green Line DK organic Merino wool yarn, color Mirth. Buttons are handmade in Fimo clay. Button loops are Kreinik 3/8" Trim, color #245 Bright Magenta. Written pattern stitch instructions
