"I just read the Color mini-tutorial and although I have taken several color classes at conferences, you added new ways of looking at color mixtures. My mantra is "Color is Everything" so I am thrilled to think about it in more ways now."

Faroese Shawl Patterns

Knitting patterns for neck-down Faroese shawls

The distinctive butterfly shaping of the Faroese shawl makes an exceptionally wearable garment because of the shaped shoulders and elongated ends for optionally tying around the waist. For even more shawls, be sure to also visit the Other Shawls Collection.

Turning tradition upside down! — The Faroese shawls in the HeartStrings collection are all worked from the neckband down. You start with just a few stitches so that you can become familiar with your yarn and the stitch patterns. Different increase techniques are used in each pattern to achieve the traditional center back panel, side panels, front bands, and shaped shoulders.
