Simply Elegant Knitted Lace

Knitted Lace Class Description

Even the simplest lace patterns look impressive and invite awe

Knitting lace is easier than you might think – even the simplest lace patterns look impressive and invite awe.

In a series of skill-building activities together with inspiration from lace knitting past and present, you will learn to knit lace with confidence and pleasure, compile a sampler reference workbook and design your own beautiful lace scarf.

Lace Sampler Scarf II
Lace sampler scarf in handspun silk
  • Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills. Some experience using double point and circular needles is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Students supply their own yarn and needles for making a sampler scarf.
  • Additional student materials fee: $25 per student (includes class workbook and yarn for sample cards).
  • Duration: 12 - 18 hours. The longer version of class allows additional design time and more thorough coverage of topics. Some modules of the class can be taught separately by special arrangement.
