"I just read the Color mini-tutorial and although I have taken several color classes at conferences, you added new ways of looking at color mixtures. My mantra is "Color is Everything" so I am thrilled to think about it in more ways now."

Knitted Lace Edgings
Class Description
Adding bits of lace beauty to common objects
|
Knitted lace edgings are a beautiful addition to garments, linens, and accessories. Because these trims are typically done on just a few stitches, they are a practical way to explore the structure and techniques of knitted lace.
Great for introductory lace knitters, as well as those wanting to advance their understanding of what knitted lace is all about.
Students will use both written and charted patterns, and learn to make their own charts. Methods for attaching lace, mitering, grafting, and blocking will be covered.
|
Examples of lace edgings on linen handkerchief, bath towel, linen doily center, and baby sock cuff
|
- Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills. No experience in knitting lace needed.
- Students supply their own yarn/thread and needles.
- Additional student materials fee: $10 per student (includes class workbook).
- Duration: 3 - 9 hours. The longer version of class allows more thorough coverage of topics and time to make class mini-projects.
