Greetings -
I appreciate all the messages of concern and emotional support throughout the past two weeks while wrestling with the stress of Katrina events. I was actually already out of town when the hurricane decided to head towards New Orleans, so didn't have to debate whether to evacuate or not - but on the other hand, I also didn't have a chance to prepare my home and business for the storm.
I've been able to return home now and am deeply grateful that things are pretty much ok (minor damage and life is still topsy turvy with family displaced, but we are coping fine). And as you can see, I do have my power back on (albeit intermittently as repairs continue) and email working again.
While it is hard to find much of positive note to come out of the hurricane Katrina disaster, it is heartwarming to witness the outpouring of hospitality and generosity from everyone to those displaced and affected by this adversity.
There is much to do to rebuild New Orleans and Gulf Coast areas, but WE WILL!

Jet Tenley writes about the last issue of Knitterly News ...
I wanted to let you know how much I love your newsletter (not as much as I
love my husband, but it's pretty close). This month's issue on Silk Noil
was perfect.
I'm a spinner and create many types of yarn, which I sell at the local
Farmers' Market and to private customers. I'm in the process of spinning
some Suri alpaca fiber which I blended with some silk noil I recently dyed
in various jewel colors. Now I'm even more excited about spinning the yarn
than I was before I read your newsletter and I was pretty excited...
Thanks for publishing your newsletter, I really love it. I hope you keep
publishing them as long as you are able.
Sincerely,
Jet Tenley, Fiber Artist & Instructor
