Dolly Faroese Shawl

Faroese Shawl Class Description

Turning tradition upside down

Fun – Fitted – Flattering – Fabulous – Faroese shawls are unique in their "butterfly" shape and flattering fit. They can be plain or fancy, sturdy and warm, or lacy gossamer. And even doll-sized!

In the 3-hour class you will learn the design structure of the traditional Faroese shawl, and proven methods for adapting to neck-down knitting. You will get a chance to practice by making a Faroese shawl suitable for 18" dolls, bunnies and bears. class.

Guidelines for sizing, shaping, yarns, stitch choices, and lace design placement will also be discussed and demonstrated in the longer 6-hour
